How It’s Made: Hockey Stuff.

Or, it’s the off-season and it’s a slow day on the news wires. :-)

For what it’s worth, there’s this great Canadian-produced program on both the Discovery Channel and the Science Channel entitled “How It’s Made.” Naturally, the program analyzes, well, how things are, in fact, “made.” Goalie helmets were one of their subjects during an episode this morning, and although I couldn’t find that particular segment, I was able to find some other hockey-related segments produced for the U.S. version of the same show.

That's actually a really good show. I saw them making goalie pads and hockey skates one time. I was blown away by how much of the work on those is still done by hand.
